That would have been logical as the owner was from Verona, but I could not make a "V" from the plate I see in the photo.
The original Vignale body ?? I don't think so. Fortunately, the sister berlinetta (s/n 0092/E) is still alive...
Phill Hill's old Pan Am 1952 car: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/collectables-literature-models/37433-carrera-panamericana-mexico-14.html I tried to fix the first photo. It almost seems like it was colorized from a B&W photo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No, I don`t think that`s been colorized from a b&w-negative. Parts of the photo are too good in colour to be in b&w originally.
Can't say much to the Porsche Badge. It's for sure a 1974 Can Am Race of Müller. He drove three or four races with the 512s the rest of the season with Porsche. Somewhere I saw a picture of the car with the Porsche badge saying it was Mid Ohio but doubt it seeing the starting grid. Maybe someone else can point the exact race. He started at Mid Ohio, Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta as far as I know
Very interesting wire wheels your car had on in 1975. They don't look like Borrani wheels to me as the outer rims look too deep. Do you have any info on them Richard? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4/89883-more-old-photos-391.html#post142294880
Not a photo, but I hope it's alright to post here. Lots of gorgeous Italian machinery that I cannot even begin to name. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snUc8uvFbMo[/ame]
You mean this horror ? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T4E2e7NzBJ4/T0ZHmc2lrbI/AAAAAAAAgQ4/R0JqSChqBnc/s1600/ABBOTT+-+GB+-+FERRARI+212+EXPORT+-+1952.jpg
Thanks for sharing that! Righini is quite adamant about his 815. He's refused many offers to purchase it. In his words: "the car must NEVER leave Italy". I agree! Image Unavailable, Please Login
