OK, thanks. But none of the mentioned Ferrari show up with the particular race no. shown in the photos in a race listed at Barchetta. Rather mysterious. So we have here a forgotten race event for no less than 4 Ferrari....
The first image you posted shows a Mondial/ Monza (#62) with a very unusual engine cover/ bonnet scoop, so that should be a major hint to someone that knows these cars well. If Aardy is correct and its #0454MD, does anyone have an exact history
Here is the story of the photos. Information provided by an anonymous fountain of knowledge. ********************************************************************************* The photos were taken at the Oklahoma City state fair grounds. Note it is a dirt track, actually a horse race oval. During the first two weeks of October 1961 20th Century Fox was remaking the movie State Fair with Pat Boon, Ann-Margaret, Bobby Darin and others. The film was actually set at the Texas State Fair in Dallas, but the racing scenes were shot in Oklahoma. Dean Knight supplied three of his Ferraris #1 375 MM 0370AM, #92 290 MM 0616 and #117 Monza Chevy 0518M driven by Bob Walters. Number 62 is Mondial Chevy 0454MD Bob Simons. The other cars are: #36 XKSS/Chevy 701 Delmo Johnson #33 XK120 driven by stunt man #44 Lotus XI Ernie Grimm #11 300S/Chevy 3068 Enus Wilson #34 XKC 014 Dave Burner #50 Austin Healey also used as a camera car driven by Tap Cornett a stunt man who drove chariots in Ben Hur #71 Allard/Mercury V8 60 Max Chamberlin **********************************************************************************
A second reason to be proud of being a Kiwi today. Thanks Andrew for the top work, and thanks to your contact. Walter will be pleased.
Interesting photo on the Commemoration of La Retirada site 2/22 to 2/25 - note the signwriting on building. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Enzo Ferrari's son Dino seated in a toy car with the prancing horse symbol. Something interesting because the Image Unavailable, Please Login picture was made circa 1936.
Very nice picture! And Enzo implemented already quite some positive camber on the rears... Ciao Oscar
Over the next few posts, I thought I'd share some cars that have been/around the shop over the years. I've noted S/N of those I'm sure of. Enjoy! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Noticed in this second picture, a 61 Chevy station wagon next to the tow truck, but, as I see in some recent posts, others have figured it out. Perry

Hey my friends. Do you know anything about this car? Driver, race and year? Perhaps Parma-Poggio Berceto on 1955? Thanks in advance for your kind help. Image Unavailable, Please Login
