sadly I didn't record the place or car.
It might be The Italian Happening at the Dearborn Inn.
    The car? Marcel will know!

Thanks Jim for posting all the great pictures of an era in the Motorcity that has gone by. Post 10558 8th picture down is my Dad's silver 330 GTC with no bumpers I don't remember that paint on the door matching that bad though. But I was 16 at the time now 51 and I have the car. Would you happen to have anymore pictures of that car? the front license plate was 330 GT. Those were great times Hearing the 512 of Manfred's and knowing that he drove it to Dearborn from West Bloomfield priceless. The TDF there was also a Manfred car I believe my Dad painted for him I have pictures of that stored somewhere.

Was that the car with the converted headlights owned by a Michigan lawyer? Can not remember his name at the moment...

    Thanks John,

I apologize was so into the pictures I did not read your name right.
Manfred was like a rockstar to me all the Ferrari's that passed through his hands is mind blowing.
I remember him driving a right hand drive SWB that was so loud when he left our house you could hear that car for blocks.
My Dad took me over to the Manfred home and his den or office it was off the hook there was a 12 cylinder block for a coffee table a couple of the 512 rear wheels for end tables and loads of Ferrari stuff, artwork that was unbelievable.
I sure wish just half of those cars pictured were still in Michigan.

    Thanks again.

Separately applied clear coat often looks very different - but on photos only. So the door seems to have been repainted and likely looked perfect in real life.

Manfred was the guy who got me to join the FCA back in 1976. He was a designer at Ford when I briefly worked there.

I was only agreeing with mechaniker that the car in the pic I posted in post 10680 is not 4013GT and asking which car that was.

The car in the picture is 4137GT. It once had some alterations at the front, but was originally a covered headlight car.

The other picture with open headlight i have no idea. Would be great, if it is 4013GT, as i always wanted to see it before conversion. So thank You Kare and Aardy for the info on this one!

I have always doubted this claim very much but then found a photo from 1963 which likely shows 4137GT in 1963. It was soon crashed - it seems - and has looked funny since mid 60's or so.
