This looks like Mugello 1968......Mega interesting! There was a Dino 206 entered (Ch#022) but there is all manner of great sixties machines even by the looks a Fiat Dino Spider though none is on the results sheet. Still looking............. Just found it's been discussed around the net before........apparently it's a De Sanctis. a scaled down ferrari dino, but only had a 1000cc engine" It raced also at the Targa Florio 68 with number 152 (drivers : Banti-Del Balzo) but without any success. Anyway, a beautiful car indeed."
The wheels on the car circled do not look like anything I have ever seen on a Ferrari? One of the other car appears to be an Abarth Simca or Record Monza maybe? (Great photo!) David
Sorry, my mistake, i thought at a quick glance the no 35 car in the background was a Rover/BRM. Its not very clear on my screen.
Here is one transporter shot and a number of vintage shots from Le Mans in the 60's. The pictures were all taken by the owner of Scuderia Bear who raced/owned the pictured 250 prototype, the 250 GTO serial # 3223 and the LM. cheers Ken Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks PILOTI , i am a "heavy" user of that forum. Still asking for Andrea Montalenti who was supposed to write a book about Ferrari Transporters , anyone heard about him ? Or the article in the Prancing Horse on Ferrari transporters which the FCoA doesnt have in their index ? Might look silly , but sometimes it helps to ask again.. Thanks Regards Bjørn Kjer
Thank you for the pictures. It was for sure a great time! here some additions: #17 was ,of course,250 GTO s/n 3223GT, #19 was GTO s/n 3705GT, #21 the 250GT Sperimentale s/n 2643, #27 a 268SP,s/n 0798 (i think..)and #58 another 250GTO,s/n 3445GT. All these pictures are from LM in 1962. The car pictured with race number 21 is a 250P,s/n 0814,and was raced and the won the 24h of LeMans in 1963. regards ivo
That first photo is a young Jim Hall in the Dino 246S that he and George Constantine took to a win in the 2.5 liter prototype class.
I believe that you will find the attached photo is the car in question. I do not believe that it is a Dino 206. The hood emblem could be Stanguellini but could be Abarth. What do you think? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Another small displacement Italian Sports racer similar to the subject car. Both photos were taken at Targa Florio. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This last one is an Abarth probably 1000. The berlinetta "tiny dino" looks similar to the Bandini bialbero with different side air intake. Its emblem could be Stanguellini, with the blue S on the yellow circle.
Targa Florio WC round 4.May 1969 deSanctis Cosworth entered as prototype in the 1.0 class retired after an accident on lap 5 , dreiven by F.Morelli and E.Banti entered by E.Banti
