    When I shift from 3 to 4, on occasion, the linkage hangs up. In neutral the trans seems to still be in 3. With a few wiggles side to side in the neutral slot it will let go and then the shifter will go into 4. When down shifting 4 to 3 the same. This is after warm up, and at speed on the freeway. It is happening more often now. I have read the shop manual, but it is a little vague on how the adjustments are made for this problem. There is no grinding of gears and the action is smooth once I get it unhooked.

    Adjust your forks, easy, you need to be 2, one in the car shifting, one below the gearbox adjusting, I think there's even e video on youtube.

    It is ALSO a "While you're in there," event; shift shaft bushings, and tranny/oil pan seals. Also not hard, pretty darn cheap as F-Car repairs go, but just a bit of a PITA.
