    A ton of info here. love how its all gone through. learned quiet a bit about F1 cars from this video. could have used some better shots but great and informative for what it is.
    had no idea what a "barge board" was before this. i hope they do more videos like this.

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the V10s were making 900hp in 1998. I think BMW did it first in 2003 with the P83 engine in the Williams FW25 (one of my favorite F1 cars of all time).

    The V10s evolved throughout the years. And being computer deiven this inparticular car must have been upgraded as many were. Not hard to change a fuel map. (No idea if thats all that was changed)

    Well, I wouldn't squeeze too much an old car that was not made to last and had a small army of mechanics at its dispossal when new. Also dialing it down you get more time between rebuilds.

    But Ferrari themselves state 805 hp for the F300.

    You're absolutely right: the V10 made about 750hp in 1998. And yes, BMW, then Honda, exceeded 900hp for the first time in 2003 indeed. The V10s gave about 930 hp during their last season, 2005.

    Thank you for the replies, now i recognize him. Used to follow Sheehan in his restoration days in Southern California and later his newsletters in FML and elsewhere. Just had not looked him up a long time.
