    Until now, customers have had to choose from either a not so high-end component speaker setup for their 360 that required no door modifications (Audison), or high-end component speakers that required cutting into the doors (Focal).
    Now we are working on a high-end setup that uses Morel drivers that requires no door modifications.

    The speaker grill is the tricky part. Unlike traditional speakers, the Morel Virtus Carbon Nano drivers have a very convex surface, which requires a speaker grill with a matching convex shape to allow for the high excursion. After wrestling with this problem, we decided to design our own speaker grills just for this application. Attached are some renderings.
    The first set of 360 hyper directional tweeter pods for the Morel tweeters should arrive by tomorrow. I'll post some pictures soon.

    btw- anyone on the fence about upgrading— as I was…. I did not realize my oem speaker outer cones had completely deteriorated… you will be amazed at the improvement either way.

    I just went down to Best Buy and bought some pioneer 6.5” speakers for about $80 and installed them. No modificarions and I used the factory speaker grille. Maybe not “hi fi” but much better than the blown out factory speakers and good enough for 95%of us out there.

    Forgive me as I do not have a price point yet. The reason is because of the speaker grills. I have to see how much it's going to cost to have them 3D printed, and my CAD guy has to finish the design first. I will share updates as soon as I receive them.

    Well, I am a firm believer in good communication, whether good or bad.
    The tweeter pods arrived today - and they are not right. Let me rephrase. Morel changed the dimensions of their high-end tweeters and the pods are about 1.5 millimeters off. This is not Derek's fault (my resident CAD expert). He has promised to alter the design to accommodate the tweeter dimension change tonight as well as complete the design for the Morel midrange grills. Will provide more updates soon.

    I just put in an order for a pair of the updated tweeter pods and a left and a right midrange speaker grill (they come as a matched pair). Hopefully I will receive these in about a week, then will test fit on my car.

    The speakers in this kit are a bit more expensive than the Focal PS165FE component speakers I sell for the 458/488/F8 models, and both the midrange and tweeter 3D printed pieces are of comparable cost. The 458/488/F8 system goes for $1399, so it's only fair that I charge the same amount for this kit. The manufacturing cost is a little more than the later model systems but not by much.

    It's always worth it when you spend extra time going over every detail of the design, and then when you do the test install, everything works perfectly. I'm not a very good photographer, but these look amazing in person.

    Absolutely. Both the Morel and the Focal tweeter pods will work on the 430.

    Hi All,

    I have just installed Mike’s full Morel system and subwoofer housing.

    could not be happier with the build quality of all the components and the sound quality of the system.

    If you want a cheap system, this is not for you. If you want something that looks OEM or better and sounds amazing, this is the only option to go for.

    Mike was very professional at all stages and truly cares about making his clients happy.
