http://www.morgan3wheeler.co.uk/genevalaunch.html Just when modern cars were getting to be a total bore... $40K new, and apparently 2,000 inquiries/200 orders so far.
OMG. I desperately want one of these. How hard/impossible would it be to import one into the US? I would absolutely have to get the "fighter plane" version: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thBnbsR9WDA&feature=related[/ame]
http://www.morganwest.net/three_wheeler.html Just call the dealer. It looks like its regulated as a motorcycle -- this write-up is on the U.S. west region dealer site.
Thanks for the info. When I first saw the pics I was thinking there was no way this could be legal in the US, but registering it as a motorcycle makes perfect sense. I am so glad to see they are offering them here. I never really cared for the vintage Morgan 3 wheelers, have seen them a lot at British car shows and while they were interesting, I never had the slightest desire to own one. I am not sure exactly why, but there is just something about this new version that talks to me. It may have something to do with the urge to buy an old 60's vintage cafe racer I have had lately, and this fits right into that theme. I will call the dealer Monday and see what additional info I can find out. In the meantime, here is another video to tide us over! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XnBlMBUqjM&feature=youtube_gdata_player[/ame] I think I like this shot the best....looks like your own personal little fighter plane for zooming around the back roads! It does look like a very cool blend of vintage charm and modern driveability. It could 'scratch the motorcycle itch' but with comfortable place for a passenger and more stability. The exposed front suspension looks very vintage racer. 0-60 in 4.5 sec, 50 mpg...
Jay Leno has an original Morgan 3 Wheeler in his garage and he has some video footage of it too. He has placed an order for a new one. Go speak to Dennis Glavis at Morgan West about availability. Tell him Ian Morgan sent you!
I'm in love with this thing. However, from some angles it appears to be VERY small--like toy car small, in other photos it looks long and sleek. I am waiting to see one in the flesh. I could see myself pulling the trigger if it looks as good in the flesh as it does in some photos. What an incredible car!!!!!!!
Greatest little car since decades! Bravo to these brave guys in Malvern!!!! They deserve very well all these orders!!!!!
Listen to that V-twin roar! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHG7m4_ZnwY&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
More pics from Top Gear....some under the hood....err, bonnet shots as well. http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/morgan-3-wheeler-2011-07-07?imageNo=0

Leno goes off roading in a 3-wheeler! Well sort-of, fast forward to 2:00 mark if can't stand the wait... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CvVr9jU4I0[/ame]
This thing defines cool. I would loved to own one! I hate attention in a sweet car because it's me out having fun and not showing off, in this I admit that I would love the attention! Morgan/Aston Martin/Jaguar dealer is 5 minutes away, I wonder if they will get one in their showroom - I would definitely take a close look at it I am a big fan of small, crazy car companies and hope they live forever (Morgan, TVR, Noble, Caterham, Ariel, Radical - most of them are British...) Priced pretty well too, IMO. PS. Most Morgans sound EPIC! AMG V8 Mercedes' on steroids... It's like EU send them a memo mentioning the maximum noise level on road cars and Morgan just go "we never got that memo"
Great comment - bet must have been like this. I rember having my +8 with a straigth through exhaust from manifold tl tailpipe, shooting flames when downshifting at night. Me, the boys (and some girls) as well as even the police liked it. Great cars, great company - all authentic. all symphatic - what else do we want in car!!!
I went for a drive today in the 2012 three wheeler. I would post a photo but can't seem to do it from this iPad connection. Great fun but very cold as it was a bit icy out on the roads.
