Maybe it's because I had an awesome night with my Maxim model girlfriend. :)

Maybe it's because I was driving to see my lawyers to finalize my business equity financing paperwork. :D

Maybe it's because I've been sports-car-less for awhile now due to pumping every available penny into my company... :(

but... I had a FANTASTIC morning drive in my father's '01 C5 drop-top vette earlier today. The car is dark blue, with a peanut-butter top and interior. It was slightly too cold for topless motoring, but warm enough to crack the windows for some fresh air and to hear the V8 rumble.

There was no sophisticated whine, or metal on metal "click-click" when shifting gears. This was pure american iron, roaring down the road with a thoughtless automatic transmission and a plasticky interior. The powerplant was effortless and marvelous- it kept begging for the passing lane.

now... for the bad analogy... ;)

In school, did you ever know the girl who had a VERY bad reputation for being a bit "eager", but you knew as a result her promescuity she was VERY good at what she did? Did you ever want to take her for a spin to see what she could do?

I liken that girl to the C5. She does her thing in a QUICK and EXCITING way.
And oddly enough I feel no shame in saying that I am quite satisfied to have taken her for a quick spin to test her wares.

Now back to thinking about my Ferrari prom queen...

Nice analogy :) The stick is a lot more fun. Drove a auto C5 around a bit over the last few days and it was kind of boring compared to my manual C5.

Just traded a Black/Black Z06 last night with only 4700 miles! Guess what I'll be toying with the next few days? ;)

Hey Mark- didn't know you had a C5. Lucky guy.

My gf said yesterday, "I could do you right on the hood... this car is SO hot!"

    Corvette. Who knew?

I drive my black/black '03 Z06 all the time. Now that it has 10K miles on it, it is actually getting faster!!
No girls have offered to "Do me" on the hood yet though!?!?!

    Hey Rick,

I'll let you know if I get any similar propositions while driving it around here. Then again, if I did try to do someone on the hood we'd probably stick to it! It's friggin freezing here!

See you again at CC the next time I get out there! :)
