Maybe with the microscope on Mclarens' next car (2008), they are so desperate to have something to show themselves and their sponsors as to appeal Kimi's WDC. It gives some interesting insights to how Ferrari is viewed as well. Read it!

Interesting but generally fairly well known by long time F1 fans. A lot have people seem to have forgotten that Bernie once owned Brabham, and therefore, as a former F1 costructor, his view wouldn't be the same as the Max and the FIA. I would say Max is slightly in favor of Ferrari, but Bernie is strongly in favor of BOTH McLaren and LH.

Thanks for the insight. I have been a long time fan of F1 but really love the action on the track and in the paddock when Im there. This was enlightening to me as I didnt ever really delve into the politics much. I was happy to see the emphasis on transparency put out by Max, of course he could be just glossing over that, but he seemed sincere. I was intrigued to learn how he has to account for Ferrari's view as a minority team in terms of the UK influence in F1. That was quite interesting. Thank you...

Thanks for the link DF1! Max actually comes across like an OK guy in the interview. It will be interesting to keep this quote in mind the next few years about the decision to not take away drivers points:

"MM: It was a decision of logic versus emotion. Logic would have demanded to slash all points, but emotion was not willing to wreck such an incredible championship with an armchair judgment. If McLaren had objected to the verdict it could have happened. But they didn’t. Though, I would have excluded McLaren from the championship before. There is a legal rule of thumb in the UK: emotional judgments produce weak findings. There’s no doubt that I have sympathy for Hamilton and Alonso, but that fundamental decision rendered by the World Council could haunt us one day."

Current rulings by stewards make sense now, Lewis drives with an illegal set of tires, penalize the team :)
BMW drives with fuel outside legal temps, penalize the team :D

Wow, pretty interesting stuff. I too was wondering what stories will emerge from Alonso, when/if he moves to another team. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Glad you guys liked the article. I found it very interesting. Lets hope the judgements coming for the last race stay in Kimi's favor! Who knows what to expect :)

I've never disliked Mosley, I remember watching him as a driver. He is smooth, and a true politician.

I wonder what he really thinks.

What Max thinks depends on where he is on the list to get a 599 :D
