+1 on the first. Jury's still out on the second IMO; Sure, he's not flinging his weight around like the last two lunatics, but I don't think he's ineffectual or that he needs to be a dictator. My impression (that's all it is of course) is he's building a nice solid power base and subtly getting the teams behind him. He's a consensus builder, not a dictator. The big pow-pow in Paris is later this week (tomorrow?) - They all (teams, FOM & the FIA) want a new Concorde in place sooner rather than later - This may be where he shows his hand on cost cutting measures (?) Cheers, Ian
+1 I don't recall now - Was he in charge when they did the previous Concorde? IIRC, it was already in place, so he kind of inherited it; Can't be good...... The new one, largely drafted by his minions may be his coming out party? He's certainly adamant that the FIA's role be central to the future of the sport. As it must be IMO. Cheers, Ian
I can't tell you how glad I'am that Todt appears to be no push over, and more so, is not a Mosley puppet, Todt IMO knew that interference with penalisation and of the cuff rulings was the main bone of contention for many. He seems to me to play a back ground role in this area, which is fine by me. Mosley just jump in the nearest river and do us all a favour, you are a pure waste of oxygen, and Todt wants green.
It may be hypocritical of me to bemoan a non activist FIA but until I see something coming from his Paris hovel that does some good I'll reserve judgement.
While I can honestly say I don't miss the lunatic, I have kind of missed your rants against him! I suspect we could write a book; "101 ways Krafty wants to do away with MM!" Cheers, Ian
He wants to move from the hovel to some new digs apparently - Seems Place de la Concorde isn't quite up to his standards...... Be interesting to see if he gets his substantially increased entry fee proposal passed. Then, what, if anything, happens with cost caps - I have a sneaky feeling we may be surprised. Cheers, Ian
Given what is known about Max and his proclivities, does anyone think the thread title of "Mosley on Todt" was the best choice? Perhaps "Mosley's opinions of Todts leadership" would avoid those awkward metal images.
Hahaha a small price to pay I'd say Ian.. You cannot blame Todt for wanting to move from here.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
