Got a book on racing, competitor to Brooklands (also just copies old articles) and I think it was in there I saw the Costin designed 450S Maserati, Zagato bodied, that Moss drove maybe at LeMans. The caption said something about Costin being dis-satisfied with the shape as it evolved. Has there ever been pictures of the way it was supposed to look? With that rounded tail, I can't believe it didn't have tail lift.
Were there three or four with that body?
Not to be mistaken with later Maserati 151. I saw the car at the Greenfield Village Sports Car Show maybe in 1964 when it was red and very clean.

This is the reason why no photo exists of the car in the 100% Costin design.

The result of the Zagato modifications was that Moss complained terrible heat and exhaust fumes in the car.

But beside this complainments its worth to note, that the car in LM was significantly slower than the 450S barchetta of Jean Behra.
