I saw that this on morning news. Dumb 22 and 20 year old. Wipeout at a curve with rollover. Kids were not injured. It will be a fun bill to pay if they didn't get insurance. Just a scratch. It will be back on the road in no time. You won't even be able to tell it was dented.

Finally, I found the procedure to check the 458 DCT fluid leve Repairing my FERRARI 458 OIL LEAK and How To check the DCT Fluid Level normalguysupercar.com/repairing-my-ferrari-458-oil-leak-and-how-to-check-the-dct-fluid-level/
Repairing my FERRARI 458 OIL LEAK and How To check the DCT Fluid Level While on the Bullrun GT Rally, I noticed that my Ferrari 458 was leaking oil. It turns out that I must have damaged the Transmission’s DCT Hydraulic line while installing my S-Line exhaust. That in turn was causing the car to leak DCT fluid. Josh sourced a DCT oil line for me and I replace the oil line to stop the leak. Then Josh and I top off and check the DCT fluid level. It’s a strange process to check the DCT Fluid level. It’s easiest with 2 people as the engine must be running and you must have the car in Reverse with your foot on the brake. The engine coolant temp needs to be between 40-50C which is only about 110-120F and the DCT fluid must be below 80C. This means you have to work fast otherwise you’ll have to let the car sit and cool down for quite a while. Checking the fluid is done by pulling out the DCT fluid plug on the left side of the transmission. A little bit of DCT fluid will spill out every time, but if it only splashes out and doesn’t continue to dribble out, you are low. If it streams out continuously, then you have too much. You basically overfill it then wait for it to stop draining out. It’s a strange system.

Thanks to the OP for taking the time to do this for all of us! What an incredible resource, especially for a Ferrari and 458 rookie!!!
After dreaming about owning a Ferrari since age 8, I finally fulfilled it last week and acquired a 2013 458 Itlalia ! This great information, thank you for posting this! I have owned many cars in my lifetime including many exotics, RR, etc., but this is my first foray into the Ferrari community. Just had my 13’ Spider in to my mechanic for fluid changes, general check over, etc. Approaching 25,000 miles and no problems since I purchased it with around 2k on it. I drive it a lot and run it hard, especially during my Appalachian extravaganzas. Good news - no leaks, did a brake fluid flush and oil change and checked over the entire car. No problems except that he recommended to change out the expansion tank next time as he saw a few fissures. It is hot in the FL summers, so I’m sure the coolant system is stressed, plus with the spirited driving ai do. Just a heads up for those with 458s, you may want to have them checked.
Forgot to mention, I did the plugs, air and cable in filters at 20,000 miles (car is 8-1/2 years old after all) and DCT change will be next up. I’m also gonna put in Novitec springs and maybe 11/15mm spacers too. I had a SS Kline put in a year ago and I am happy with the sound.
My 2014 is approaching 30,000 miles and knock on wood has been trouble free. I've had the DCT fluid changed, brake fluid flushed and all normal maintenance. I'm getting ready to change the coolant and changing the plugs is on my to do list. Rich
I should have changed my plugs when I did the overflow tank. There was one bolt too hard to reach from under the engine cover. I had to remove the plate under the convertible top storage area. Once I did that, the plugs were staring me in the face.

I am so happy that is just a body kit and not a real speciale. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Gents just a question, why don’t some 458’s have the rev lights on the steering wheel? I thought they came as standard? Or is it only the early ones produced that do not have them?
Steering wheel option. CF with shift lights. Regular without. Sent from my BLA-A09 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Not really sure how they come up with the codes for the options. I'm just pulling the info off my build sheet for the 458 Spider.
