I think a lot of people are aware of how it is pronounced but have just gotten used to the slang term Porshhhhhhhhhhh. Similar to calling a BMW a beamer, except that is significantly worse
What? Your second post on Fchat and you are making jabs at people for no reason. Great start... Please fill out your profile and only participate if you truly intend to contribute to this website.
as far as the 250 gto (3223) is concerned, i dont beleive it is in this collection now. and does anyone have pictures of the 250tr?
Bob had some truly significant cars back when. The 250 TDF Interim was 1521GT the next to last one built - factory converted to disc brakes. This was then sold to Karl Dedolph. There were 2 regular TDFs. The most significant was 0677GT. The Olivier Gendebien 14 louver car that remained as a SEFAC development vehicle at first. Many references are made on how this car was used to develop the 250TR motor. The other TDF was a covered headlight 58 or 59 - don't remember much on it. The 250 TR was 0732. Bob restored it to the condition of Lucibelle II in white with blue stripes. The 250 California Spyder was all original. It was referred to as his wife's car and in the summers was kept at the house for Linda to use. In case anyone missed it the GTO is the first one built 3223GT. This is the 1962 press conference car without the rear spoiler spoiler added later. Jeff
Nice thread. Have seen at least one of the Turning Wheel Cars at last years Modena Motorsport Trackdays. Will try to post some pictures later. Gr. Martin
There is a guy here locally (I don't know if he's mentioned in this thread, I haven't scrolled through all the pages) but he bought a lot of cars that won Leman in the 60's and 70's. He has the GT40 that placed 1st in LeMan, and all the old race bugattis and maseratis from the 50s/60's as well as a Jag D type and a 250 testarossa. It's pretty rediculous.
Nope on the GT 40 that placed 1 OA at Le Mans. The MK-IV Dr. S owns dnf'd,stuck into a sandbank. The 1 OA cars are owned by The Henry Ford Museum, George Stauffer, and Rob Walton.
Seriously! Haven't these n00b's heard of snipping enough to give a little context. Jeez, it's like they're cut'n'pasting the entire NY-area phone book...
Very true!! But remember I still hold the record for the "Worst use of a quote in history of F-Chat".
All of this Ferraris are owned by the same mexican guy http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136766924&postcount=2106 and some more F. are missing ... FXX ,275GTB/4 ,F001 etc. and a bunch of others non. Ferraris .... that's an Amazing collection ! Isn't it ?
You mentioned a prince from the middle east and right after someone posts the "sultan" of Brunei's collection, he isn't in the middle east but in Southeast Asia. What prince are you talking about?
I hope I will have an opportunity just to drive a few minutes in a ferrari... This Sultan is sick... there have been more than 20 F456s? :/ What for?
