    Thanks for the posts.

The second video clearly shows the power of the water. It helps undertand how people could be hit by debris or trapped underwater........ very sad.

Also, without warning sirens, I'm sure a lot of people thought the waves were going to subside earlier then they did and got trapped.

In Hawaii, I could be sitting on the beach and a rouge wave would come and wash away everything on the beach. After that happens the wave action goes back to normal. I probably never would have thought Tsunami.

Those were crazy videos, although I haven't seen many to be honest, because I've watched some on TV and cry every time. I was holding my new baby sitting on the couch watching that footage of the Swedish Dad whose 3-4 yr old they found alive and nearly lost it.

What's hard to believe is sometimes the water rushing through the complex doesn't look like that much, but it only takes inches (maybe a foot or so) of really fast running water to knock you off your feet. I've told my wife several times (whenever we see flood footage or people stuck in rivers) to never try to cross fast moving water like that.

In the second video, you can see two people clinging to a structure to the right, which collapses downwards and they're sucked under into the torrent.
