What is the most popular caliper colour for a 458 spider in Rosso Corsa? They are currently gloss black, and am thinking of having them re-painted in giallio modena (yellow) or Rosso Corsa (Red) to match the bodywork.
My Rosso Corsa 458 Spider has Yellow calipers. My former Rosso Corsa 360 Spider had red. I’m going back to red for a Rosso Corsa 296 GtTS that I have on order.
Okay thanks - why did you decide to go back to red out if curiosity…? Seems the majority of votes are saying yellow calipers…. Cheers
Yellow calipers on my Rosso Scuderia. Like the way they compliment the shields. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am changing back to red just to have a different look. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
One issue with yellow is that there is not one single yellow for the different yellow accents; the center caps, shields and callipers are all different yellows. Not a really serious problem though...
If you go with red, you still get yellow on the caliper font. So you can have both! Image Unavailable, Please Login
WOW - thanks everyone, for all the feedback and images - that's great... ...I'm now even ore undecided, so thought I'd offer more information to perhaps get some further votes and/or opinions / images of other owners cars... I'm currently going through a "FULL" winter carbon upgrade... Adding the following official Ferrari carbon parts:- Carbon Front Winglets Carbon Side Skirts (painted red - similar to the sports side skirts below) Carbon B-pllars Carbon Rear Upper Bumper Segment Carbon Fog Light Surrounds Carbon Diffuser Hoping to have the best specced 458 possible, so the caliper colour is really important to me - and I always thought the gloss black didn't "POP" enough. Below is a pic of the car from last year, and youtube link :- 458 in Rosso Corsa, with Carbon Fibre Racing package and Race seats too... Image Unavailable, Please Login Here's my calipers finished in Gallio Modena, but they have used the incorrect Ferrari logo (not the classic version), and as you can see the Ferrari logo is a thinner font - so they'll be repainting them with the correct logo for the 458 calipers.... I like yellow calipers but went with red on my 458 because the car is Rosso Corsa. Someone once wrote that the red car with yellow calipers reminded them of the McDonald's logo and after that I couldn't unsee it. . However, that's just me. Otherwise, I think yellow looks good on all cars except maybe white shades, then definitely red in my opinion.
Ha - yes I've read that elsewhere... However, I find that more-so on the cars with diamond cut wheels or the std light alloy wheel colour, not so much on the Grigio Ferro Wheels... Thanks for the input
My vote is red with red. I have that on my 458. I have yellow on my F12. It looks good but sometimes a little ketchup/mustardy for my tastes. Make sure to go see an example of each in person.
When I was specing my 488GTB i noticed that the colours didn't match in yellow, Badge , calipers , center caps were all different shades. So was red when compared to my car colour RCM. Best option was aluminium silver matched the center cap and wheels The yellow badge is by itself so IMO looks uniform. I preferred the non jap version. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No. If you want to know the reason it was because I wanted those lovely big opening on the side like all other previous generations. Hated the front and hated the triple pipes. Now if it looked like the Speciale I would have as it addressed my styling however wasn't allowed a car.
