Hi to all, I have a F8, and was wondering if anyone has pushed there motor to the limits and what they achieved eg. Power output, drag times and torque etc?

I have seen a few that have been tuned for race gas with hybrid turbos.
Most of these builds will be bespoke ones done by shops.

Hi, thanks, I am planning to push my car to the limits and see how far A stock long block of F8 can go.

Is that car sitting on a floor lift (gojacks etc) of some sort or is that some body kit type thing?

McLaren 720S are getting over 1000hp with mods and tune. If you find the right builder that actually has done Ferrari 488/F8 before and you can do you due diligence and research the customers and see how the cars are doing then you can bump up the HP for sure. However from what I've seen at least here in the USA is that mostly Porsche Turbo's, Lamborghini Hurrican and some McLaren's are tuned for this type of power and not Ferrari's for the most part.

    Here's a 1000hp F8:

@mdrums I’m assuming you are referring to the VF Engineering supercharger kit for the Huracan? I can’t otherwise see where a tune would take the NA 600+ hp engine anywhere close to 1,000 hp.

I’ll go on record stating I’m more than happy with the performance of the stock F8, 720hp is plenty for the road.

Perhaps it’s because I have track toys, and you well know that’ll take the starch out of needing that in a street car.

You will need a set of full frame turbo not just hybrids. I have seen custom full frame turbos made for the 570s so it is possible for the F8 also.
Questions is how much time and money are you willing to spend when a shop does R&D on the car etc.

Ok thank you all for the info, I achieved 550hp on stock long block on a Toyota mr2 2.0 16valve twin cam turbo with just bolt on mods and got a 11.2sec 1/4mile pass with 1.893 60ft on street legal tyres (10sec car with better 60ft)in 2002. So was hoping I could easily achieve 1200bhp from a Ferrari V8 twin turbo,
    Let the games begin :).

Yes those Lambo's with super chargers or twin turbo's. A Texas firm does them as a few others. there is a girl in Sweden that has one she did somewhere over there with an insane amount of power I follow on Instagram.

Yes sure I agree...720hp is plenty, can't even really use that at the track planting your foot at apex in a street car. Can get into serious jail time on the street with 720HP too. These guys that want these 1000+hp exotic cars do it for bragging rights, and some go to the drag strip and race there friends and around where I live they via for a video of themselves racing Brooks on DragTimes Youtube channel. I've gone to the drag strip and ultimately found it boring after a run or 2. Where I can go to Sebring and run all day and never get bored driving a curvy race track. That's just me and my preference. I miss track days a lot!

What kind of tire are you planning on running after you do the mods? Even with just a tune, high flow cats/exhaust you are at nearly 850 to 900hp, to go beyond that will need pure turbo kit. 1K+hp actually possible.

I love speed, but in my opinion bone stock F8 which is already capable of very low 10s and even high 9s quarter mile in stock form. F8 is first car ever that I did not mod with at least a tune, because I can't see how I could handle more in a RWD platform. If it were AWD like 992 Turbo S I totally would do at least all the bolt ons and tune.

F8 is actually much scarier than 1k hp Tesla I have even at stock power. I just can't see how the tires can handle more power, even at stock level it is already pushing the Michelin PS4S way beyond its limits. I would love to know if there are any tires are are gripper for the street that doesn't take too long to get up to temperature. Tires would be where it can extract more performance out of the car in my case.

I get what you are saying and I am experimenting by pushing the limits of this car, I want to know how far I can push her with all its traction tech, with some chassis tuning, some bolt ons and lots of back to back drag runs, to achieve a possible 8 sec 1/4.
Tyres will be playing the most vital role, so I will be trying different tyres and maybe Micky Thomson ET streets as a last option.
My goal is to explore the limits of the stock long block and 1200hp should be easily extractable with 2 GTX3586R type turbo units.
