I met a lady for a drink the other day, after 1 minutes I was praying that the ceiling would fall just so I could leave. What lines do you use to gently escape from a boring meeting?

I once told a girl in college I had diarrhea to get out of going out. She did not speak to me for over a year.

I've had better conversations with people on life support, than the person I was with yesterday. She was cute also, but the light was on but no one was home.

I use to sit through LONG boring meetings as a rep when I sold semiconductors. Hours and Hours of hearing factory engineers that liked to hear themselves talk. When I smelled such a 'Bring your Pillow' meeting, I'd start the meeting by letting everyone know I may be getting a call regarding my kid that was urgent. I'd call a buddy and have them call the company I was at ( in about 30-40 mnutes) and ask the receptionist to come in with a note that the wife has an urgent need to talk to me. It worked every time!
