Could not have happened to a nicer team except maybe Georgia. With any luck USC will have a melt down next year and only win 2 games

Graduations, injuries, bad recruiting and Darrell Dickey is getting senile Scheduling is a problem too. This season we started against the 2003 BCS Champion (LSU), next year against the 2005 Champ. We play a bunch of money games that just beat up our players and really hurt recruiting. No publicity is bad publicity and all that, but losing 70-something to 3 to out-of-conference opponents just looks BAD.

I am not a college football fan, by any means... I don't have anything against college football, it's just one of those things that's never appealed to me... With that said, I am so glad that Texas won... Why...? Because, as an American, I would much rather have a bunch of angry South Carolinans moping around, than a bunch of angry Texans...
USC losing was bound to happen, yet i still beleive they are the better team overall...just my opinion

OU is only a football rivalry for Texas, and the media hypes that up. In any other sport (basketball, baseball, soccer, etc) it's the Aggies. I played football in high school with UT's defensive end and he told me the one game they can't lose is the A&M game.

That's OK. I would not expect a Canadian to know diddly about a good Texas college football team. Yes, losing was bound to happen. They just needed to play a good team. They finally played one, AND LOST. The teams they played might as well of been Martinsville Community College.
It's called tackling. Even though Young ran for 12 yards every time he tried, the Trojans still didn't spy on him. It was like watching a grown man run over a bunch of grade school kids. Basically, their 1-dimensional game met its match.
Watching the game in person hurt even more. I was on the verge of crying, I think there were many "different" calls and plays... I think it was pointless for Reggie Bush to try and lateral the ball, trying to maximize and do it big isn't necessarily always a good thing.. Pete Carroll calling a time-out end of the 4th quarter for absolutely no reason, then when he needed one with less than a 30 seconds left he was screwed. If they could've gotten 10 yards closer and used a time-out properly they could've been in Field Goal range. Pete Carroll's decision to go for the 1st down on 4th and 2, I probably would've gone for it also.. And the Bad calls... We all know that Vince Young's knee was down. I am a die-hard trojan fan but will agree with anyone that he is a hell of a player. Eventually team's lose... I guess you could say I had more fun tail-gating and if I had any insight, I would've sold my tickets before the game and continued to hang out at the tail-gate I was at with the 80" projector setup... Fight on..
