Rossi has this crucial pole for tomorrow's race.

Pedrosa and Melandri have moved ahead of Rossi in the Championship - will they continue to be factors in the Championship? They qualified 9th and 11th respectively, while Hayden starts from 4th position.

What do you guys think..............will Rossi catch Hayden? Including tomorrow's race, there are 6 GPs to go.

This is playing out to be incredibly exciting! Tomorrow on SpeedTV, at 11:00am. Only a fool would miss this one.

If Hayden can keep his consistency for the rest of the season, and if Rossi has no bad luck like he has been having, my guess is Hayden will win the championship by less than 10 points.

Even if ROSSI wins the remaining 6 races ...and grabs 150 points would get 293

the Kentucky Kid just has to settle for stepping on the podium on 3rd place
to become WORLD CHAMPION !!! with 294 points

    according to my MATH

if "the DOCTOR" doesn't win tomorrow ...
we all have a new champ by the end of season

Anyway you guys think Valentino was actually offered to ahve a seat at Ferrari F1 ???
or it was just a media hype?

At some stage this year, hayden will have a DNF or a low placing..... he hasn't been renound for his consistency. I don't liek the kid, but hey, if he can stay upright and podiums most of the remaining rounds, then he deserves the title....

Doesn't meant i'll like it though, the thought of an American holding the title sickens me, especially one that is nowhere near the ability and the standing of his predecessors.......

Hayden has been very consistent since late last season until now, that's why he is where he is at right now.

The original poster asked what we think about whether Rossi can catch Hayden. He didn't ask whether you like it or not, and you don't have to like it.

In 6 races you can puke on your feet. It's OK, we won't see it here.

I must add, are you pe'od because the young Texan is kicking Miladin's butt?

There's a reason why Nicky is where he is in the Championship run. You don't get there by accident.

Are you anti-American, or are you just against any non-Aussie winning? The way you worded your thread can come across being quite offensive to an American.

What a race for second in the final laps!

Too bad about Hayden finishing 9th. I hope the championship will be settled at the final race.

I don't think Rossi willget the title this year, unless the new 800cc bike he is going to use now is way better than the actual one.

After today's race the one who actully have real chances to get Hayden and the title is Dani Pedrosa. He is now only 25 points down Hayden, and I think he is really more consistent and quicker now than his teamate.

Today's end race fight between Rossi and Pedrosa was amazing ;) The 125cc and 250cc were a lot of fun too. In 125cc there was only a 28 ms difference between 1st and second.

    Amazing race yet again.

Capirossi just flew away from the field, beautiful performance by him.

Rossi did a commendable job of holding Pedrosa off, he fought him tooth and nail. I wonder how Rossi would have faired if he had a medium tire on the back rather than hard.

Hayden did absolutely no favours for himself by dropping down to 9th in the closing laps...........that may very well come back to haunt him.

    So we are now at;
    Hayden 201pts
    Pedrosa 176
    Rossi 163
    Melandri 161
    Capirossi 151

Doesn't get much closer than this!

Considering Hayden and Spies performance yesterday I reserve the right to eat crow concerning the post above. I don't think I'll have to. But just in case. They say it taste like chicken.
