Whoa, it's even bigger tha a Murci! I saw a Murci parked behind a Bentley Arnage once. The Murci was wider, longer, but much lower.
With all the bells and whistles (except the bare carbon) it comes to a grand total of $1,531,880. I heard somewhere though that the clubsport version/option is not road legal, might have to verify that though. Could the bare carbon bodywork be so expensive because the weave would have to be immaculate when showing it all? Maybe they leave the "flawed" pieces hidden under the paint, because $90k for NOT painting a car is utterly absurd (the other options almost have a case). I guess this is an absurd car though Edit: Scud is this thread the reason you're considering a Pagani, or has it been in the back of your mind for a while?
I can't speak for Rog......... but, having known him for many years and speaking to him regarding his passion for this sort of stuff.... i get the impression that he has craved something quite special ( although i think what he has now is "special" enough!!!) for some time. He spoke frequently about an Enzo, but i feel that the inability to road register it was the main factor in him drifting away from the idea............ I think the Pagani idea is a recent thing.... but the thread and pics may have spiked his interest a little more.... I guess we will all just have to wait for him to came back from his OS holiday to see if the bug is still biting!!!!!!!
Hahahahahahahahahaaha JG!!!! Whilst that would not surprise me, i can say that he hasn't gone to Italy.......... maybe.......... He might be telling secrets....... who knows, he may have, the holiday might be a front?
While this topic is still alive, here are a couple more pics of the Pagani from the Motor Show. The car is not striking enough to look at IMO for the money, but then I haven't driven one. The details are very nice though. At $1.4m (surely negotiable if they aren't selling any here), you can have a F430 or a Gallardo, a Murcielago and something else. Enthusiasts will understand, but the name Pagani doesn't mean much to the man in the street compared to brand names with decades worth of heritage. Servicing? Repairs? Warranty? Dealer network? Insurance? Huge faith would be required, not just the cash. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Part of the reason for buying an exotic is the recognition factor. Everyone has heard of Ferrari and Lamborghini but if you mention Pagani to the average Joe, he's just as likely to think it is a new ciabatta sandwich. OTOH, all this is just background noise if you have made up your mind to get one. Obsession is a wonderful thing.
yeah well i gave up long ago telling people what i drive as it's too complicated, so it's just a bucket of wog bolts but yeah when the question comes up it'd be much easier to just say "ferrari" or "lamborghini" and leave it at that... as for the Zonda on the street, the attention-whore factor in me doesn't have a badge associated with it, hell, i think i'd get off on the non-recognition, i just want to be the crazy bastard who's gone and landed his F22 raptor out front of Cibo.
ok fellas from now on when we talk about those other cars make sure you put a "@@@ Not Gil Safe @@@" or "may contain traces of stuff thats not Ferrari" disclaimer in the title
I think its sex on wheels, let alone striking and the man on the street probably won't mean much to the man driving anyway. Also, I imagine the servicing and repairs would be, for the most part, taken care of by MB. For major stuff like a prang, back to the factory i suppose

This is good. BUT, I don't like that strange look of the GTS roof on the superUSA, when the roof is down. It's ugly
I go back and forwards on it..... I don't like it as much as I like the standard 550/575, but I do like it more than I liked the Barchetta, I'm not sure why.
