I did the mechanic training program at Russell Racing School in 1995 at Laguna Seca. Once a month or so, one of the car magazines would show up to do a comparison of different sports cars. They would show up with 5 or 6 cars, do donuts in turn 2, do burnouts up and down the straight, head back to the paddock, shine up the cars, take a few pictures and go home. I don't think they ever did one real lap around the track.

The 348 feel...or steering feedback is mega as far as I am concerned. I dobt anyone has driven their car as far in one trip as I have. Including several over 600 mile one day trips, plus the 950 plus miles to Toranto and 40 plus laps at Mosport, then home..

It started out nice, and despite 80-100 plus speeds most of the way, I recieved only one warning on the way to Starbucks in Charlotte, NC.

Then came the rain, but new tiers solved that, and that's another story..

So there you have it...take that 348 detractors!

I am in love with a car, and at that time, that was all. Now I have a woman as well, so I know it feels neglected. But unlike the other, she does as I say, never complains, when she talks back it is because I pressed the loud pedal and ask her to speak. With the open exhaust she is rather loud, like some woman, but she does not chat incessantly or rattle along needlessly. But she will bite back if you neglect what you are doing, and like with a woman you must give her smoothe caressing movements, but with a little more pressure due to the pure rack and pinion steering, with no power assist. Yes, I am in love with this car........and now a woman.

Yes...this is at Corning, NY at the 2007 meet, another long drive from Columbia, SC. Note the 315s on the rear.

I cannot say enough good about the Ferrari Club of America. If you are not a member, join here www.ferrariclubofamerica.com. They, the leadership, has been responsible for these great International Meets (USA and Canada). You do not have to currently own a Ferrari to join the FCA.
