i received a snail mail solicitation to sell to my ferrari to his 'qualified immediate buyer' and he requested i phone him. i have not yet

I seriously wonder if he is a Title scammer as i do not know how he got my contact details

 

A basic Google search turns up nothing for Motorcoast. That's a red flag for me. rarely would I trust a direct contact that I don't know, and certainly not one that I don't know and can't even research!

 

I received the same letter earlier this week. Here is the website.

That's much more reassuring. The website was registered in 2022. so it wasn't just created last month or something. Reading the "About" section, I'm positive I know people who likely know the founder, Andy, quite well. But still, a basic Google search turned up nothing! He should really work on his metadata so the Google can find him.

I'll poke around and ask some folks about this, but likely very legit.

 

Is he harvesting information from BAT then requesting personal details from my state?
He asked abot a car I have and BAT is the only trace

 

I assumed he is a dealer and has access to DMV records.

 

He has Nevada DMV access from California?

 

Received a letter today from them asking if I want to sell my 328. I might give him a call to see what he's offering and post my experience back here for you.

I just got a letter about a Mercedes 280SE that I bought on BaT about 8 years ago! The funny thing is, I have actually been thinking about selling it (most likely on BaT), so I was wondering if I should reach out. Sounds like he is just using BaT for harvesting data.
