I don't really get much reaction in my 348 - maybe I'm not "studly" enough. I've had a few people take my picture with their phone cameras, and quite a few "whoo-hoos!", but no girls flashing me, and no indecent proposals. I've been surprised how few people will come up to me at the gas station to ask questions.

Other fellow exotics are always friendly
People that are over extended on their BMW 3 series are annoyed
Everyday folks are happy for you.....except for an occasional muscle car freak that thinks you overpaid.(they dont get it)

    Lots of big grins,thumbs up.
People hanging out the window of their vehicle (while on interstate hwy!)
One time at night I revved it a bit while passing a police officer parked on median.
He followed me to a gas station (I thought here we go) He got out of his squad and said he could'nt believe what he saw, with a big grin.
I was all ready to defend my position so I had to quickly change my attitude.
He thanked me for taking time to show and tell him about the car. (yea I know I'm lucky, I've heard alot of horror stories) esp from Cal.
The police around here are pretty nice, they just want to see and hear it like everyone else.
even the gangster types will wave (who knows what their perception is ; )
People behind you will take pictures with their cell phones and then act like they don't see you when beside you. Trying to be cool. That's funny
A high school girl asked me in all seriousness after seeing the cavallino rampante on the grill
"is that a mustang" I just said" no it's a Ferrari " without a trace of irony in my voice.
    Just a few stories.

Just today on the freeway, I saw what I thought was a flash in my rear view mirror, a minute later 2 girls are in the lane next to me in a SUV and they take 2 pics of my car and yell "great car"...I wonder if they knew it was NOT a Ferrari :)
Although 2 weeks ago a admirer told me my car was very Ferrari-esque.

    Its a FIAT Dino Spider

It comes in waves: for a couple of weeks I'll get nothing but turned heads - that always happens - then I'll have two or three people in a row come up and talk to me about my car for a half-hour or so, and a lot of thumbs ups from guys on bicycles at Whiterock, and teenagers....occasionally someone will scream at me to slow down when I'm at or under the speed limit...either it's the engine/exhaust noise or they just wish they were driving it. I do work hard at being careful and safe - probably a better driver in the Ferrari than my regular cars. I never expected a crappy old 330 2+2 4HL to attract so much attention.

Recent funny incident...I was filling up at usual Mobil and already in a long conversation with a Ferrari admirer when a postman in a USPS mail truck pulled up beside my car and yelled out "HEY ENZO, whatcha got there?". I had seen him spot the 330 and pull off the road...he was obviously in the middle of his route and stayed just a minute, long enough to ask year and model and a couple of other questions, seemed to know Ferraris.

No one has taken a picture, though--I think that's your difference between a 330 2+2 and an F-40!

A lot of turned heads from motorists and pedestrians. A number of gas station and parking lot inquiries. No pictures that I know of.

I was walking up to my 328 after viewing a football game and from a distance I could see 3 guys walking around it and checking it out. They were just finishing up as I drew closer and hadn't noticed me yet when I heard the following:
Buddy 1: What do you think it is?
    Buddy 2: It's probably a Kit car.

I smirked to myself thinking "Well I guess I deserve that, my other car IS a Kit car."

The usual whistles and thumbs-up; lots of people who want to get "racy" who just make me smile (or laugh) depending on what they are driving. Funniest thing is when you catch someone checking it out and then they think they have to make conversation or ask a question. Usually it is something inane like how fast does it go, or is it fast, or how much does it cost, or what kind of mileage do you get with it. It goes with the territory; so I try to be nice and answer without too much sarcasm--it costs nothing to be nice and keep our image from being the "snob with the F-car." Or the A-H with the F-car!!!

My 360 Modena got a lot of attention, almost too much. It's an exotic looking car that looks expensive. My Daytona is a lot more stealth. It's more classic and less exotic looking. It's the men and teens that notice the car. Women are usually pretty oblivious. Old people are merely annoyed at the loud exhaust. I almost always get some positive comment from someone when filling up. I find the vintage cars bring about a different, less envious, response than the new Fcars.

Lots of guys roll down their windows, just to hear the car. Some stick their cell phones out the window -- never know if they're taking a picture or sharing my exhaust note with someone.

    Hi,
One of the pleasures in driving a ferrari is sharing the car with others. People respond positively seeing or hearing our cars.

Guy hanging out of truck window with baseball hat on backwards at a stoplight making a circular motion with his hands and saying..."Light it up".....heh. Good thing I wasn't on a test drive.......(Red 355B)

    Lots of thumbs up.........(All models)

Van full of Air Canada stewardesses following me to a gas station on the way to the airport.....true story too.....I had no presence of mind to remove my wedding band before it was too late......(Yellow 360 Spider)

Muted, almost no reaction really, until they realise what it is that just drove buy them.......and then......it's nothing......(Black 348 Spider)

You dont think a lot of people look at your 348. lend it to someone and follow them in a different car. You will see, You just dont notice 90% of the people looking at it.

While my 328 gets alot of attention, people takings pics or yelling things and at times following the car my Boxer is a little too much for me at times, I'll get boxed in with cars following me and cars slowing down in front of me to check it out when driving it and need to pull over and let them pass, while people would look or pretend not to look at the 328 the Boxer they just can't help it and I see them following along side me and guys having conversations with girlfriends heads cranked every which way pointing and talking about the car, or pure suprise in someones expression if I pull up along side someone at a light. Its really at times too much and effects my desire to drive the car if I am not up for being stared at intensely or followed which is one of the reasons I have driven it just a few times.

I really can't blame them, 7 years ago before I owned a Ferrari if I saw a Boxer on the road my first reaction would be is it real, the next I would flip probably myself as you never see them, I have only seen 1 in my entire life on the street and it was parked this in the early 80s outside of Ferrari meets.

that I sometimes get a little dissapointed at the lack of attention the car draws. The only encounter that really sticks out was when I was at a red light in Peekskill, NY with the window down about to make a right turn. A guy came running out of a pizza shop. He made a hand motion and yelled light them up! I yelled back, "NO Thanks", he said "come on don't be a puss*. I said "No Thanks". He yelled "why the hell not?" I yelled back, "the tires cost way to much to roast" (I really have no clue, but I know I need them this year) and then I yelled "I don't want to get a ticket" He says "man, there are no cops around" Then I pointed to the one sitting just back from the corner of the street I was about to turn down. The cop was just taking it all in. See, you just can please everyone.
Most dissapointing issue, not a single woman has thrown herself naked at me yet.

    I hear you!
Because my GTO is so blatant as well, I find I too have to "get emotionally up" to drive it. So for simple errands you start asking yourself:"Do you wanna make a big deal out of this errand?" Instead I just end up taking the Jag.

I'd love to see a pic of your Boxer here. Add some color to this thread!

My CS gets alot of attention wherever I go. Lots of thumbs up and tons of pictures. People always pulling up next to me and looking in the cockpit in the hopes of seeing some one famous (Very dissapointed looks on their faces when they see ME!!!!) Best is the 18 year old in Ricers who pull up next to me at stop lights rev their 4 bangers and think they are "da man". Well i feel it is my personal duty to the Marque, to uphold the honor and tradition of the "Prancing Horse", and leave them with their mouth and eyes wide opened, wondering what the heck just happened!!! As the last thing they see is my tailights.
