motorized belt retrofit ?

Is anyone aware of a kit, or even the possibility of doing a retrofit on the silly motorized belt (US cars only, legal matters aside)? Just junk the track, buy new belts, and use the mounting points from later airbag equipped cars? Has anyone done it on a Testarossa or a 348?
Is it even possible to install a front facing baby seat with the motorized belts? (I know, kids are safer in the back, and that is where mine go 98 percent of the time).
Just need to know for future reference.
I did not find any threads on this, but might have used wrong keywords.
