How did you find out about this place? That is awesome!!! I have a friend that has a huge in-door go kart track (2642 ft.) right off of Peachtree Indust. but full scale would be amazing.

Just out of curiousity, what does is the approximate cost to build a track similar to No Problem (for those of you who went to FFQC) or even something like this: http://www.msrhouston.com/track_map? I know that real estate prices differ greatly, but on an already owned piece of land, what would constuction costs be?

    It'll never happen.

Its a great idea and I would probably be willing to try and stretch for a membership and move there if they built it, but I see the risks as just too high to attrack the investments needed.

I think they would need at least $20-$30 Million just to develop it to the point of having the track done, track facilities done, subdivision developed and lots ready to sell to builders. Building a first class racetrack is EXPENSIVE. So are all the buildings and such that are promised for storage, maintenance, shops.... Heck, the environmental impact study alone will take years and cost deep 6 figures i bet.

I hope it happens. Im not holding my breath.

Depending upon the specs, I have heard that the cost is somewhere between $800K and $ 1 million a mile. This is just for the track.

Terry, the original Motorsports ranch in Dallas was done out of the owner's back pocket. It still doesn't have a lot of fancy buildings and such. However, the dues are very reasonable for what you get.

Now, if you want to build a Barber track, that's a whole another story.

I called them yesterday and they said that the planned site had changed to a location between I-85 and I-985 just south of Road Atlanta.
