i caught that this past weekend. i watched it for about 15 minutes, and it was an effort to keep on going. it was effectively a low-key (ie: no idiot with a british/aussie accent pushing the product) informercial with some production value to it.

not very interesting imo, but fun to look at. it got boring fast.

    doody.

What you saw was the pilot that was shot last spring, if I remember right. The show was picked up and they are currently filiming a 13 episode series for Cablevision and DISH network. The series will feature 12 episodes similar to the pilot, 3 drivers competing in a handicapped race. The last episide will be a race with the 12 previous winners racing.

I'm in the new series and filmed my race last week. The finals are being filmed on the 20th with the series being aired sometime in the first quarter. I was in my '83 911 (modified for the track but only 204 rwhp) against a Noble 12M3R and another 911, this one weighing 2100 lbs with a 3.6L carbed engine.

I thought the pilot was a bit corny also, but I still found it entertaining. I think you'll find the series to be less corny and more fun.
