I just had a 58" tv delivered. The mount I have is for this size but has a note that if the TV mounting holes is wider than 400mm, which mine is, then I have to do something different with the mount. The problem is there is no instruction, only pictures. Any of you know what they may be on about?

    Thanks

Yes, that's a picture of you mounting the TV down the road at my home in Diamondhead. Seriously, without seeing the pic, I'm guessing that you need a adaptor (hopefully supplied) to mount this size TV.

There are two pics, they both look exactly alike except that the mount numbers are switched but the pic of them are the same. If I switch them around then they don't look like the picture and I would not be able to adjust it once its up.

I figured it out, I have to switch something around. One sentence could have done what a picture couldn't have. I guess I need to read it to get it.

If you put the spacers in first, then the mount, then the TV, the TV would end up not protruding from the wall so much.

Right now, you have screw head, mount bracket, spacer, then TV.
I recommend screw head, spacer, mount bracket, then TV.

This might affect your ability to tilt the TV down as much, as it might hit the wall with its bottom edge, but it shouldn't be a problem unless you mount the TV high up and need to tilt it significantly.

Doing this may also make it difficult to fit the cabling as well, unless you have a hole in the wall to give the cables plenty of room...

It tilts pretty far right now but I am going to lower it b/c it is too high and I am also having a plug put in and the cables run either through the wall or with plates to plug into. I hurried up and got it on the wall to satisfy the GF.

Thanks for the suggestions on the spacers. I have them this way b/c it is how the instructions show it. At first I was nervous about using spacers because I didn't use them on the other TV I mounted but I had to on this one. I wanted to put them the way the instructions show but when I have it down I'll switch them around and try it out.
