So, last weekend i finally got round to mount the S-Line exhaust on my F430, sadly i cant get it to sit properly on the cat flange. Suposedly the Sline slips 2" (about 5cm) onto the flange of the cat. i measured that out and put a white line but notice i just cant get it to shift on the last 0.5-0.7cm ish onto the flange. Causing the mounts on the gearbox not to align how they should. See here how they line up on the flange...

And here how it now sits on the gearbox mount:

Obviously the springs are not to be compressed like that when the exhaust is still cold...

We have not gotten it to sit as follow:

As you can see, the mount does not sit flush against the gearbox mount. thus not allowing the exhaust to expand fully when hot (possibly causing stress cracks on headers and whatnot). So i wanna get this solved, anyone got any ideas how to get this done? already put coppergrease etc on the flange to make it easier to slide on, but as said, after having spend more than 3 hours trying to solve this last half cm, i thought id also come on here and ask as many more here have the same exhaust...

I also noticed on those tiny pix on the instructions they took of the heatshields, yet i dont want to do that as they are there for a reason, and the exhaust doesnt seem to be held up by the heatshields blocking it to get on further....

Ive even thought of making new slots in the mount so maybe that way i can shift it on further, but i dont want to do that as this is made for a F430 ofcorse so it should just fit in my mind...

If it’s like fitting a Capristo to a 430, you have to let off the inlets to the CATs so you can rotate the cats to get the correct distance between centres, if doing so then fit new car inlet donut rings.
