Hey all! Next weekend I’m giving fixing the window regulators on my 94’ 456GT a try. At the same time I was considering swapping out the door speakers while the door panel is out. As far as I understand the speakers are 4” x 6”, but does anyone know the depth? Would be awesome to have some new speakers ready at hand when I pop the door panel off, but I’m worried I might end up ordering speakers that are too deep. Thanks for any insight to this, greatly appreciated!
I replaced all speakers in my '94 456 with Audison Prima; in the doors went APX570. 5x7" and 67mm depth in total. A perfect fit. Beware the original speaker is sealed along the door frame with some sort of gasket ring. If possible, recover and re-use this as it makes life easier. I had to fabricate something anew as I wasn't aware of this and damaged the original ring.
