Yesterday I started getting my new Capristo in the right place (and not behind the car as the last month :) )

Unfortunally it wont fit. The two lower pipes, left and right dont match to the existing pipes. There is an angle between the two connecting tubes

Today we try to loosen all connection up to the headers in an attempt to "shake" it right. But there is only a couple if mm. to play with

send a couple of pictures ..... it is a very nice quality system but it is better if it fits :)

I also fit the Capristo bypass valve

When I installed mine I had to loosen up the mating flange on the cats and lube it with a dab of anti-seize to get them moving enough to slide back and forth to match the inputs on the capristo. Those lower inlet pipes are not the same length between different exhausts. I finally got it in place but not easily. The sound is totally worth it.

I was about to suggest turning the cats around. And/or loosening all the bolts. My exhaust took some effort. It will all eventually line up.
That Captisto exhaust valve is pretty awesome too. Much better design than OEM.

$1,100. plus about $600 for the remote control to manually open it; http://www.capristoexhaust.com/index.php/shop-online/ferrari-products/ferrari-355?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl&product_id=96&category_id=37

Which got me thinking, I have a new factory bypass valve that is in perfect condition, and I would like to add the manually controlled bypass feature. I am thinking about ordering a vacuum solenoid and building a circuit to flip the valve open when desired. I would prefer it be open at all times but there are two good reasons, 1. COPS. 2. There has been evidence to suggest that leaving it open can cause the mixture to get skewed due to not enough data coming from the main cats 02 sensor.

I didn't get the remote control and mine was about 900 or so.
I don't really need to manually monkey around with when it's open or not. It works exactly as intended right out of the box and I like to hear it open up when I get on it.

last week I was busy so during this weekend we finish the work. With a little force and a little adjustments we finally got the system in place

It sounds fantastic and the bypass valve works very nice.

Unfortunally You cant see the system when all heatshields and covers is refitted
