    Has anyone figured out how to move the car when you pull the engine? Let's say you have a two car garage and a "portable" lift and you'd like to drop the motor for a major. Then put the car on the ground and move it back into it's parking place so you can use the other side of the garage to do the engine out service?

    You should be able to use wheel dollies and wood blocks.

    I bought the metal plates and casters at the local metal dealer, and had a guy weld them up for me. Total cost was around $100. The plates were precut, including the brace, But I had to do the drilling.
    They sure make it easy to move the car around.

    I just built a Wood dolly for mine. The metal casters are the ticket for the engine out if you need to have it mobile.

    I'll make some one day but for now the 355 that needs to be mobile and is still apart is on a body dolly.

    Ha, I thought about those but I have a 4 post lift so I really do not need to move the car-cass anywhere.

    Brilliant!!! Thanks guys. Still looking for the perfect 348 for myself, but I have found this place to be a wealth of knowledge and still find myself spending hours reading old how to threads.

    I love those custom rear quarter covers.

    I had some similar casters built several years ago at the request of a 348 owner. Might need to consider a set for myself as well.

    I don't know the material. The covers belonged to FoS. The inside material must have been very soft (micro fiber?) as there were no visible scratches after all was said and done.

    Someone's wrapped up the fuel pipe from the filler to tank with heatshield.

    Good idea

    This is where a dangerous leak happens
    Heat protection may avoid the hose/seals from failing
