    Any F-chatters in the Vilseck - Grafenwoehr area? I am moving there next month (first time) and would like to know about the "must do's" and "must see's" of this part of Germany. I hear it is a very beautiful part of the country. Thanks.

    pfffffffffffffffffffff.......Grafenwöhr........pfffffffffffffff.
    How should I start and tell you about Grafenwöhr?
    I have been there during my 4 years Army time.
    Grafenwöhr is in North-Bavaria, next big (but also almost dead) city is Nünberg or Regenburg....but too far away for the evening dinner.
    There is NO human beeing living there!!!!!!!
    Its f****** dead and far away from everything!
    Its just and only a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge military training area !!!
    3 beer bars, 1 whore house and thats it!
    Answering your question:
    There is nothing to do or to see!
    Everything is +150 miles to drive :(
    Sorry to say so but its sadly true.

    Actually I'll be living in Vilseck (same general area as Graf). I guess I'll need to do some road trips on the weekends to have some fun. Having said that, what would be some good weekend trips? Thanks.

    Hello Shan,

    we have many saturday or sunday drive outs during the summer time, meetings and a few trips to Italy.
    Please watch out the european section and if you would like to join us on a trip - its my pleasure and you are very welcome to my passenger.
    Its a 2 hours trip for you to me - Heidelberg. Heidelberg is a wonderful very old town with a beautiful castle and surrounding. Great roads, some smal hills, forest and the river Neckar.

    Last time at Grafenwöhr I was told to remember that tanks have right-of-way - ALWAYS! (German Army Trials area!)

    I survived the move. Bavaria is very beautiful and the people are friendly. I am holding off on shipping the 348 for various reasons, but would still like to attend a few club events and maybe meet some FChat folks while I'm here as time allows.

    Wolfgang - please send me a PM sometime so we can connect. I'll be traveling to Heidelberg at least once a month and would like to meet sometime. Thanks.
