MP4 spyder: Less rigid than a corvette?

What a sad, pathetic article. The writer, who, in lieu of actually DOING research on EITHER car, just wrote a cutesy piece doing the standard middle age white guy jokes (boy, those jokes NEVER get old)....and then getting his facts WRONG.

The C7 didn't "take a leaf" out of McLaren's book. The C5 (1997-2005) and the C6 (2005-2013) were both designed to be convertibles, both shared the IDENTICAL frame with the coupe.

Alex Lloyd isn't an automotive journalist, he's an unemployed open wheel racing driver who hasn't figured out that he needs to race sports cars like everyone else.

 

If he thinks convertibles dont handle he has evidently never driven an Elise. Or a 1960s Elan for that matter...

 

I think Chevy has been floating this idea. I thought it bizarre when I heard it last week.
