MPG ...

I realise that we all own a car that fundamentally the topic of MPG is not even worth debating, so I'm sorry for raising a topic that may well be seen by many as futile ... so, my question is ... yes, when I go out for a spirited drive ... I don't think of MPG .. just drive ... fine, but if I'm trying to see friends, say 100 miles away, so 200 mile round trip ... it makes me curious, when travelling on motorways where there is frequently police cameras ... I don't tend to speed too much, so my question is ... if I did a 200 mile journey and say did just 75 miles per hour ... what MPG could I get ... what long distant trips has anyone done and what did they get from the tank ?
