    He lost interest in FerrariChat about the same time he wasn't using Ferraris anymore. Also we corrected mods that unfairly for years had kept the 0846 discussion one sided by banning and moderating the detractors. Pretty amazing within 6 months of allowing a balanced discussion it completely turned on end.

    P4/5 = Enzo

    Slightly off topic, but P4/5 is one of the best looking street cars of all time imo.

    Edit: "SCG" that you refer to I'm assuming is SCG 003. That is the first car made from the ground up by SCG and is not a rebody. Neither P4/5 nor P4/5C are referred to as SCG. SCG LLC was the team that managed the races for P4/5C, but it's not the name for the car itself. https://p45c.com/about/

    No matter what some think about 0846, you have to admit he has pretty damn good taste in cars. Some of his "other" cars are even cooler in my book.

    That's my fault; I had it dead backward. Thought the 430 was for the original car and the Enzo for the Competitzione. I actually second guessed myself after posting, then thought, nah, the Enzo would be the next-gen upgrade.

    Didn't agree with what? That he has cool cars or good taste? They agreed with him enough to officially badge the original P 4/5. After that he went in a different direction. Either way, I still think he has some pretty amazing cars like the 206 Dino or the Lola. ;) I haven't read or heard much about it but it seems like I heard some controversy about his 002 159 too wasn't there? Something similar to 0846 maybe?

    I've had the good fortune to meet and have dinner with Jim and his wife Meg on two separate occasions. I always thought it was mighty big of him to sit down and break bread with a nobody like me. I once drove out to NY to see his garage and it was even better than I thought it could ever be. Jim is just a guy who loves cars through and through. I haven't spoken to him in years; I'm sure he does not even remember me and has no reason to do so. But if he's out there I hope he knows that he is missed.

    the original p4/5 was based on an enzo.
    the p4/5 competizione was based on the scud, and others.

    jim is not to everyones taste. he knows that.

    all of the 0846 debate aside, Jim is one of the all time great car enthusiasts.

    i was in contact with him last week, and he is doing just fine.

    I'm friends with him on Facebook and he is very active with the SCG sports car racing effort in Europe at 24 Hours of Nurburgring and developing a car (SCG 007?) that is headed for Le Mans in a couple of years .

    I used to see him at car shows in the NY/CT area with 0846, P4/5, his Lola, Ferrari 002C(?), GT40, all road registered. He was always gracious to talk with .

    In the end, most people get tired of people arguing with them (unless they are attorneys). One of the main reasons I stopped being active on Ferrarichat is that Blackjag seemed to have a hard on for poking me in the eye. Life is too short to fight with the trolls here.

    Use the Ignore feature. There's a real braying donkey of a guy - something 550 something - who used to post comments that made me feel like my brains were being sucked out through my eye sockets they were so stupid, and he deliberately took the opposite of any stance I took. I don't even remember his handle it's been so long, but f-chat - MY f-chat - is so much more pleasant with him invisible. I have two or three people on ignore now. Almost put a mod on ignore a while back. :)
