For months Michael Sheehan has been advertizing that he was seeking several different flavors of Dinos. Looks like he found one as he's now got one for sale http://www.ferraris-online.com/pages/carintro.php?reqcardir=FE-246GTS-04302 PS - The Toolkit has the wrong pliers, the rectangular key fob doesn't look correct, I don't see the targa top stow cover, there is a green wire hanging out of the glovebox, and I see Cromodoras, not the Campagnolos as the ad states, but it is an impressive car, glad it scored Platinum. The pouch only has two books in one photo, I wonder if MS is using stock photos?
It seems good cars aren't at this price point yet, as another recently only sold for $145k, although incomplete and divulged by the seller as "Missing are the tools, wheel chock, vinyl top cover, owners manual pouch and other books." http://www.sportauto.cc/inventory_ferrari/1974dino246gts/index.htm
Holy crap! I love Boxers but their owners just don't seem to drive them the long distances or to as many club events as Dinos. Perhaps it is the much higher price of parts for a Boxer than Dino (Boxer Distributor caps are pushing $1000.00USD) or the Boxer's maintenance, I just don't know. The Dino is an all around great car, drives well and is reliable. In some respects, I wonder why the Boxers haven't taken off as the Dino has.
I had no idea Michael Sheehan was a Ferrari enthusiast. I only see him as a womanizer. However this does improve him in my mind just a little bit. If I were buying a Dino I would search elsewhere however.
What the hell is this all about? Wander in to a thread, take a pot shot at Mike, and then wander out? This kind of crap does no one here any service, and does a disservice to Michael. If you have a problem with the guy, so be it. But don't lay out unsupported allegations in here. I've have several interesting exchanges with Mike who certainly knows his stuff. Dave M.
