I'd feel safer riding with MS at 3X the posted speed limit than with a lot of people at 90% of the posted limit.
Michael could easily go double the speed limit and still be 10x safer than drivers going the speed limit.
Driving on a race track and driving on the road are 2 very different circumstances, he is the best driver in the world on a race track IMO but on the road a different set of rules apply, we have already seen posts about people changing lanes in front of you and how dangerous the speed deferential can be, he was on a public road and he broke the law, he was fined. I'm sure he dose not have a problem with that. Just because he can drive super fast on the track in a car designed to do exactly that with a bunch of other "best in the world" drivers doesn't change the fact he was driving on a public road at 40kph over the limit and if that officer happened to be a person changing lanes in front of him with no warning at 80kph, a 60kph speed differential will do more damage that a small speeding fine and a gentle reminder he is not above the law. I like (Love?) MS, but facts remain. In an Audi though? WTF???
