Im a massive Schumacher fanatic and will be devastated, maybe cry who knows, as I watch him take that last lap around Brazil. As I try not to think about that moment, I occupy myself with this. What are your predictions for the last 2 races? I think he will win both, because he is very fast at both tracks, Renault has been thrown out of sync because of China, the whole Ferrari team is extremely determined, and Schumacher is still the best driver in the world.

He will win Brazil, he will finish 2nd in Japan. I have no idea why I said that.

I think at Suzuka there will be an incident filled race, causing Schumi to finish other than first. I do not think Alonso will win it either - maybe Kimi's chance to shine. Kimi is VERY determined.

And I think he will take the win at Brazil. It will be the greatest end to the greatest career in all of F1 (IMO).

Predictions are just that----Predictions. It certainly looked liked Alonoso had some recent races wrapped up, didn't it? But something happened that surprised everyone and he didn't win. I think out of respect for Michael and his new team, Kimi probably would not try overly heard to beat Michael and strip his chances of #8. It would be a bit selfish in some ways, and VERY selfish if he did something dirty to prevent Michael from winning, which Kimi is not known for. ALONSO on the other hand doesn't mind nasty blocking, brake checking, etc to screw with the others drivers.

I really think somehow Michael and Ferrari will pull it off though. :D :D

Did you even see what I quoted? The other guy was doing a completely unwarranted slam. The guy didn't know his history...at all.

Too close to call imo, a lot will be down to tyres, and if Alonso harmed his engine in the last 10 laps of China. Will be interesting to see if Massa can put in a good showing. Hope it goes Alonso’s way personally, just to save his sanity if anything! Lol at todt asking Renault to keep tactics clean.

    Regards

So -- any predictions on how long it will take Schumi to get bored with retirement? ;)

Schumi and Mika to form an F1 "seniors tournament"? :p

I was going to start a new thread on this question :) My prediction is that if Massa does not put in a good showing in these last two races something will happen to him and Michael will have to fill in while Massa recovers during the 2007 season.

I have been a Ferrari fan since my teen years, a Lauda fan, a Berger fan, a Prost fan but NOBODY has the head for F1 like Mike. In my 30+ years watching F1 on the tube nothing is more fun than watching Michael win and celebrate like he does. KING of F1!.......oh yeah, MS 8 Time World Champ

As opposed to, say, blocking the track at the end of qualifying to preserve pole position at Monaco?

Or running your competititon into the wall to prevent them from overtaking you in the championship?

You are either blind or stupid. Selfish and dirty EXACTLY define MS's F1 career.

If the situation was reversed and it was Schumi heading into Brazil with the points lead, can anyone here seriously say that Schumi wouldn't run Alonso off the road to end his race and preserve the championship for MS? If you don't think so then your head is too far up your arse for a reasonable person to hold a discussion with you. Every time this situation arose, MS did EXACTLY that.

I, for one, look forward to the Brazilian race so we can finally get rid of Schumacher, end the whining on this board, and hopefully return to enlightened and informed discussion about racing and F1.

thats some foolish comments u made. MS will be aiming to retire on a high note. i'm pretty sure he doesn;t want to be remembered for crashing into FA in the title decider, in the last race of his career

    That is an idiotic statement.

Schumacher has demonstrated one consistent element throughout his career, and that is he will do ANYTHING to win. I don't believe for one second that he would sacrifice another WDC simply because he didn't want to be remembered as having run Alonso off the road. There is NOTHING in his entire career to suggest that he would do otherwise, NOTHING AT ALL.

Your statement is nothing short of ridiculous.
