I'm going to cry when Michael makes his last lap around Brazil -- because then I'll have to wait another four months until I can watch another F1 race!
Although I have never been an MS Fan (Except for the 2000 Season), it will be extremely sad and the end of an ERA when he finishes in Brasil. He will definately be missed in the coming years. Judging by his actions and his words, I think he will conduct himself like a gentleman at the last Grand Prix. To witness his actions in the pits after the engine let go in Japan says it all. Lets just pray he has a safe ending to his career in Brasil and he goes out in style.
tony, beautifully put. I'll second that! Some of Micheals actions have left me shaking my head for sure but I also agree, he has the best racing mind of his generation at least and would have to be up there on any all time list. HIs desire to win has certainly clouded his judgement and sense of fair play from time to time but its obvious also that he a is a master of building team chemistry and keeping everyone feeling involved and connected, something FA has no clue about. I, for one, wish him the best and hope for a dry track in Brazil so he can go out on top. But personally, I find it hard to believe he will not come back somehow, just seems like there is too much passion for it still. We'll see......
I agree, for the most part. I respect MS' achievements and I do have to agree that he conducted himself as a gentleman at the conclusion of the Japanese GP. At 37, he has certainly matured a great deal as will Alonso and Kimi in time, I suspect. I don't hate MS so much as I hate the ****-sucking sycophantic apologists of which this site seems to have more than its fair share. I am looking forward to his retirement as I hope it also leads to the diminished involvement of his sycophants on this site and a return to informed and interesting discussions of F1 and racing in general. I also look forward to seeing Kimi in a Ferrari doing battle with Alonso in a McLaren. It is time for a passing of the torch and F1 will only become more interesting with MS departure as far as I am concerned.
I have never seen a single informed and interesting discussion about F1 racing on this forum that did not have a negative comment from you. You complain about Michael, you complain about Ferrari and you complain about everyone else. Why don't you give your informed and esteemed input about the rules in 2008 or the Spyker F1 thread. Maybe there is nothing you are informed about. So let me give you a piece of information that can be used in your future discusssions: Michael Schumacher has won 7 world championships! He is the greatest racer ever! The fact that people want to celebrate Ferrari and celebrate Schumacher should come as no surprize. The fact that people like you and some other who are constantly bashing Ferrari and Michael does not come as any surprize either. So if people are emotional about Ferrari and emotional about Michael you simply want to imply that their emotions are childish it is because you have a sad life with a sadistic outlook on things. The true Ferrari fans on this forum support Scuderia Ferrari. The entire team. You are either with the team or against the team. You cannot pick and say you support Jean Todt and do not support Ross Brawn. F1 is a team sport. But then again you do not seem to be very informed about F1 anyway!
he has the odds against(way, way, way against him) FA would have to not finish, or not get any points to not get the title(again i might add) go FERNANDO!!!!!!!!
