Bought another exhaust. No idea why. Think I was drinking again. Should I bother trying it out over my current capristo? I love my capristo. It's a lot lighter than the capristo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This time, I will. At least for the first test drive. I'm tired of wrenching those 4 nuts with no air!
Do it! The MS sounds way better than that crappy Capristo. In fact, just to show the good guy that I am, I will give you $1000 if you send me the Crapisto for disposal
Gotta admit, it sounds great. This is the sound I am going for next.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOKdguuXl2g
Do you guys have any video/sound clips of yours? Guess I'll have a EGT bung welded on this sucker and bolt it on!
Try NOT doing this and let me know how it goes. I just bought a system as well, that lacks the bung and while trying to find info on the bung, i ran across this thread where the consensus was just to zip tie it out of the way: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/165071-hyperflow-capristo-installation-question.html Curious if it works!
I have a Cappy III on my '98. It is the version without the center bung. I have a 3rd thermocouple connected, but just tied off to one side. Adding it (the PO had removed it entirely) cleared a CEL code for me, so I'm one of the ones who can confirm it works... for me, anyway. I believe there have been mixed results.
The center TC's function maybe just to tell the Ecu of the bypass is open or not but what that info does in terms of engine management I don't know. It watching the output voltages realtime in my car with all three sdecu tapped and driving around, the center one rarely got higher than .8v. So tying it off and not installed would probably have minimal effect.
It would be interesting to know what the middle tcu is for because my euro car doesn't habve the third tc.
