Seems after the race he put on a big watch while on the podium. His suit was pulled back to show it so I'm guessing a new sponsorship?

I think he has a sponsorship deal with Omega.

I changed the title of the thread to avoid giving away the result, which indicated that MS podiumed today.

    Good call guys....

I do see tha MS is an Ambassador for Omega. Though it looked bigger then a Speedmaster.

Also didn't think "podium" would spoil it for anyone, but I think the title change was a good move. If I didn't see it, I wouldn't have believed it myself..........

Normally I don't make such a big fuss over spoilers, but this race being really important and broadcast in the US (and FChat being primarily a US site) at such an ungodly hour we have to give folks some time to watch their tapes/Tivos.

And yes on the Omega deal.

This is why I don't log on here the weekend of a race, before seeing the race. There are too many spoiler threads, and I was nailed by one a couple races ago.

I hate to say it, but you're right. It is our mods job to clean that all up, but quite frankly I don't want to loose the suspense myself. So I don't log on until I know the result. And sure enough this morning the racing section was a mess.

Must be tough for you; I avoid going anywhere on race day until I've seen the race. There's always some putz talking about it in line at Starbucks. I hate that! Thanks for your work!

I think it might have been the new Ferrari Panerai, which is out this week. It's a 45mm watch, and the one he was wearing on sunday ceratinly looked that big - bigger than any of his omegas, anyway.

Thanks, but lets not kid ourselves. I'm just like any other guy with an opinion on here. Sometimes right, a lot of times wrong. And in between I get to clean up somebody's profanities. :)

Now 386 people who have looked at this thread know Michael wears an Omega watch. What a great advertisement. :)

I wear an Omega watch, too. Of course, I had to pay Omega for the privilege... :)

have a look at when Massa won his first GP. He put his time piece on as soon as he jumped out of the car, and during the after race interview he was constantly rolling up his sleave and showing directley to camera in a blatent and obvious way over the top way:D take a look, its amusing.

On an unrelated note: I prefer MS' suit over Massa's: Massa's has that white triangle on his "behind". It looks like he is wearing a thong. Silly thing. They should have given him the same design as Michael's.
