1Turbo- thanks for the link to the cool site!

Derek- just to give you a few more variables that you need to ask about to determine the value of a 355:

    - Do you have service records documenting car since purchase? (A stamped warrantee book is an obvious plus).,

    - Is the car a low mileage car because owner is "bailing out"- when expensive things things start to need to get maintained/fixed (belts, tires, top works flaky, clutch, front "chin" or undercarriage scrapes, come to mind).

Good luck on your search - I see you have a 996 Turbo - I am a big fan of that car too!

Nice link. wonder what the 1999 355 spider with an F1 actually went for ? Was there a significant markup.

Take a look at the '78 308 GT4's Annual Fuel Cost, a total of $750.00!!! Wow! That is two months worth in our Yukon XL. Crazy stuff.

Markups depend a lot on geographic location- but are getting worse everywhere. I was on the list and had deposit for 96' 355 spider at Fof Beverly Hills, and was getting it for sticker (that was around 139k+ the usual tax b.s.). The times then were not as crazy as the wait/markup for 360s and 430s. But the nice is thing is % wise the 355 has done pretty well (until you figure in annual costs).

But back then there was a luxury tax on cars in CA and it actually saved you money to buy a "used" car with a few 100 miles on it... even at sticker.
