Thought it might be interesting to see how the base price of the v8 has gone up over time. These are the base prices (NOT including prep/del, dest, gas guzz) from the window stickers I still have:

    '02 6spd 360 coupe - MSRP of $140,615
    '07 6spd 430 coupe - MSRP of $173,079

    '04 6spd 360 spider MSRP - $176,075
    '06 F430 F1 coupe MSRP - $178,906

Some other price changes of common options:

    '02 red calipers - $715
    '04 red calipers - $807
    '06/'07 colored calipers - $995

    '02 daytona/electric seats - $2,203/$1,998
    '04 - $2,483/$2,299
    '06/'07 - $2,755/$2,525

    '04 scuderia shields - $1,354
    '06/'07 - $1,519

I'd especially like to see the base price of a '99 360 coupe 6spd if anyone has that number.

Has the Euro appreciated 20% against the USD in the last 5 years ?

Therein lies the answer.....and I am too lazy to look it up.

I bought it five years ago. However, after Enzo died, the market went nuts. New 328's were bringing up to 200K but started coming down in 1990. Mine was advertised in FML 12/90 for 119K, well after the peak, then down to 89,500 in 8/91 when it evidently found a new owner.

I am sure that a fair portion of that is the effects of the weaker dollar.

I believe the euro was 88 cents 5 yrs ago and is now 1.32 (an increase of 50 percent since 2002.)
