BLAMPEE Man Card Status: Never Issued

Hey guys...never been into models but I randomly saw a SICK White F430 Scud 16M in 1/18 scale on eBay and I love it! :D

How big is this model exactly? What about the 1/43 models?

Also, for instance, I see the above-mentioned item for $450. What is the normal MSRP for these types of models?

Some 1/43 models (new 458 Italia in white) are priced at $250-$300.

Is there a markup in these prices? Would I be paying for the exclusivity of the item as I see some of them are "limited to xxx pieces."

If there is a mark-up in these, where can I find them at MSRP?

    Thanks!

Model prices range from $20 to $1000, depending on the detail, scale and quality of the model. When I first started collecting, I was buying anything in 1/18 scale. After I bought a few HW Elites, Autoarts, etc--I realized how much better the detail was then regular HW and Bbrangos... An average price for those models run around $90-$120 each.... Some of the CMC and others are $350 and up, no way am I spending that kind of money on a model....

The MR Model you are talking about is hand made, and thats the main reason its higher priced.

There is MSRP but if its on e -bay, then its what the buyer is willing to pay.
Also do not trust limited to XXX pieces, as in the auto industry, the mfr. will make extras if there are demands for such. Who will audit the final production figures..be realistic. u buy and pay for what u think its fair.
