Anyone has an idea about which more common cars do use the same rubber-rings for the fixation of the exhaust system as the 400i? The question is about #10 and #17 of the spare parts drawing. Mercedes is using similar rings but unfortunately they are smaller in inner ring-dia. I will try them in place of #10 but I doubt that they can be stretched to to the extent required for a #17 substitute.
I have replaced #32 by Mercedes part #112 987 01 40 which fits perfectly and does not even need nuts and washers for its fixation.

Same guy on ebay sold me a bag of them (12 or so?) a month or so ago. They fit great at the rear, part #10, and they seem well made.

Same here, haven't installed yet as I'm still figuring out how I'll handle the whole approach (manifolds to tailpipe).......

One reason to be happy owning a 25 year old car that has no ECU and no possibility of engine damage because of using a Tubi exhaust!

In the meantime I have tried the Mercedes part No. 113 492 00 82 in place of #17. They fit perfectly and, equally important, they are available from stock just around the corner. Price was equivalent to 6 US$ each. Those for replacing #10 are less than half of that.

Thanks to all those responding to my questions.
