This stuff really is getting out of hand.

On a 30 minute flight today we got two announcements welcoming us to this country (I never left), and no less than three announcements reminding us to respect everyone on board and the crew and to help create a "safe environment".

There was a total of about 25 people on the flight.

Unbelievably pathetic and pointless...

 

Where was the 'smoking ceremony' held..inside or outside the cabin....?

Or, if we're as stupid as NZ, all the safety announcements will be in a made up language and when we arrive we'll have arrived in some place we've never heard of before.

The thing that schitts me the most about this BS is that it is utterly pointless and if anything it turns people away from caring about indigenous issues.

There are real and significant problems in Indigenous communities, and yet so much time and effort is wasted on this crap instead.
