Wondering if anyone has had their Multi-Function display (where it says "Check Ok" on start up and outside temperature, etc...) go out? The LCD looks like it wants to light up when I hit the outside temperature button, but all i see is green backlit for a second, then it goes dim. This just occurred this morning for the first time. I didn't get the "Check OK", but she started and ran fine. I guess the fact that the temperature - or any message like door open icon for that matter - won't display isolates the issue. Otherwise the dashboard is fine. Is there a fuse just for that display? Anyone else experience something similar? Thank you in advance.
Try a system reset. (knob in the front compartment). Leave the battery disconnected overnight and then reconnect and run through the self learning phase as explained on here (Do a search if you don't know what to do). Hopefully this will reset the problem. I have just had a dash malfunction myself and posted to see if anyone else had the same experience but I only got one response to date!!! Good luck and I hope this sort the problem for you. If it doesn't I'd suspect the LCD faulty. To my knowledge there isn't a fuse just for the LCD display. Regards D.
My display is working but the two buttons that control it's function are inoperative. Haven't had chance to test any connections yet but I will at some point.
Strangely, when I press the external temperature button, the display goes (vaguely) green, but no data...and when I first turn the key to the start position, it goes (vaguely) red, then (vaguely) green - when I presume the "CHECK OK" is present...
