Is it just me or have some of you noticed actors not enunciating their lines in recent years? I have had it happen on a few different shows including "The Office" and just last night on "Terminator", one of the characters made a statement - I went back two or three times on my DVR and STILL have no idea what he said!

I know this is not my system or my own hearing because 99% of everything else sounds perfectly fine...

Does this tend to happen to you more frequently after a 'spirited' drive in the 512 or the 308? :)

Actually I have noticed the same thing, I bounce back on the TiVo until my wife tells me to forget it.

It certainly isn't just TV actors. I can't understand what my 25 year old stepson is saying half the time. Most young-ish people sound like mush mouths to me, but they seem to be able to understand each other. I don't know how.

I am in the habit of using the closed-captioning on my TV most of the time, not because it isn't loud enough, but because people don't speak clearly.

There is a contingent of modern actors who think that "real" delivery is sloppy and quiet. It's a source of tension in the theatre/acting world.

Any of you old-timers remember "Then Came Bronson", with Michael Parks? He was famous for mumbling in that one.

It isn't just on TV. I sit in classrooms all day long where kids don't speak up, don't actually know what the word means they are trying to say, and then mumble on top of it all. I am in honors classes in college. It is the exact same thing at work, but instead of kids it is adults. People are just getting lazy I think.

Thank You, Thank You, etc. for bringing that show up. The intro to the show was killer.
