hello fc, my friend is interested in getting murcielago and i was wondering if anyone here owns one and can give some advice. such as what to look for when you are buying one and how is the built quality. is it reliable car or does it spend most of time in shop? what would you pay for 2002 murcielago with 5k miles? this car is 6sp. also, if anyone here knows anyone or dealer selling there lambo please let me know. thx fc.
You need to contact Roy , he's on the board here. No affiliation and have not bought anything from him (still too poor up here in Canada). However from alot of other posters who have purchased cars from him he is top notch. WWW.CATSEXOTICS.COM 1-866-LAMBORGHINI **Call me for a CAR!! however last time i checked his website was not working. Jman
have you checked out the Lambo board on this site? It has tons of info on that subject matter I am sure! gordon
Like another poster said...Call Roy Cats...He is the expert on this site. Furthermore he will help you and give you all sorts of advise. He purchased my 05. The Murcielago is a rocket and a show stopper. Plan on 30 minute gas stops. Excellent build quality only one small accelerator position re-adjustment. It was a great ownership experience. If you post on the Lambo section you will receive a wealth of info..perhaps one poster will help spot a car for you if Roy doesn't have one. If he doesn't he knows where one probably is.
Like all have said. If your buddy wants a Lambo have him call Roy Cats. Best deal on any Lambo in the country. If he doesn't have one in stock he will find what you want MIke
My friend had a Gallardo then a Murci. Had a cam failure (seize) in the Murci due to some type of resin clogging a top end oiling hole. Happened just outside of warranty and was expensive for him. He wasn't sure where the resin came from or if it was elsewhere in the motor. Was very odd. He no longer trusted the car and traded in for an F430 and is very happy. He said he got more 'odd' looks in the Murci than the Gallardo or F430. Also felt it drove like a 'bus'. I'm sure it's a nice car. Supposedly his cam failure was the only 'known' incidence? But how many are reported?
my friend had a murci with 6 speed, he sold it because the clutch need to be changed around 3000 miles, a bit less or a bit more depends on the driver !! he sold it and got an F-1 murci, much more reliable than the 6 speed he says note: he doesnt drives it in summer because the whether here is sooo HOT and the murci just turns OFF after starting it up...
No, actually, I would tend to think that death would be worse. You could always get back to us on that one...when you try it.
